Enrichment Opportunities

Enrichments give children opportunities to learn, explore, and grow beyond the core preschool curriculum. They are designed to make learning hands-on, engaging, and meaningful while supporting the development of the whole child. At the CACDC we offer daily enrichments for children to participate in.

We offer enrichments that are included as part of our preschool experience, ensuring that every child has opportunities to participate in engaging activities such as music, movement, art, cooking, and other age-appropriate experiences.

We also offer optional add-on enrichments for families who would like their child to explore a particular interest more deeply. These experiences provide additional opportunities for children to try something new, build confidence, and discover passions at their own pace.

Music

Included in Tuition Monday Mornings

Our music class gives children the opportunity to explore rhythm, movement, singing, instruments, and creative expression in a fun and age-appropriate environment. Children are encouraged to participate, experiment, and discover the joy of making music together.

Through music, children naturally develop important early-learning skills such as listening, memory, coordination, language, confidence, and self-expression. They also practice taking turns, following directions, working as a group, and building confidence in front of others.

Most importantly, music creates a sense of joy and community. Whether children are singing along, dancing to a beat, playing an instrument, or simply listening, every child has a way to participate.

Amazing Athletes

Add-on Enrichment on Tuesday Mornings

Amazing Athletes programs are uniquely designed to introduce children to a variety of sports, helping them to meet, master, and exceed their motor development milestones. By teaching and encouraging each child individually, they gain the confidence needed to develop a love of fitness from adolescence and adulthood.

Soccer Shots

Add-on Enrichment on Wednesday Mornings

For over 20 years, Soccer Shots has been a leader in youth soccer, providing fun, developmentally appropriate programs for ages 18 months-8 years. We partner with childcare centers, preschools, schools, and local communities to bring soccer to young players across North America. Soccer Shots helps children build skills, confidence, and a of physical activity in a non-competitive environment.

Groovy Bus

Add-on Enrichment on Thursday Mornings

The groovy bus is a school bus repurposed into a mini gym for the littlest of gymnasts! Gymnastics is a wonderful way for young children to build strength, coordination, confidence, and body awareness while having fun and staying active.

Our preschool gymnastics enrichment gives children opportunities to practice age-appropriate movements such as balancing, jumping, rolling, stretching, climbing, and moving through obstacle courses. These activities help children become more comfortable using and controlling their bodies while developing important gross-motor skills.

Art

Included Enrichment Friday Mornings

Our art class provides children with meaningful opportunities to explore their creativity while developing important early-learning skills. Through activities such as painting, drawing, cutting, and working with different materials, children strengthen their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and ability to follow directions. During art we also encourages imagination, self-expression, problem-solving, and decision-making as children experiment with colors, shapes, textures, and techniques.

Cooking

Included Enrichment Friday Mornings

Our introduction to Cooking class gives our students the opportunity to explore food, nutrition, and basic cooking skills in a fun and hands-on environment. Children will prepare simple, nutritious snacks while learning how to safely use age-appropriate cooking utensils and practice basic food preparation skills. They will have opportunities to mix, spread, scoop, pour, and assemble ingredients to create their own tasty snacks. The class also encourages children to try new foods, learn about healthy ingredients, follow simple directions, and develop independence and confidence in the kitchen.
